Minyffordd Megastar, L.O.M.
(Minyffordd Dictator x Beech-Hay Dairy Maid)
1992 Imported Welsh Cob Stallion, 14.2hh, Bay, 3 socks, star & snip. 1992 Royal Welsh 1st prize winning colt. Megastar went to the WPCSA American National Show in Elk Grove, CA in September of 2010 at 18 years of age. He won Grand Champion Cob, Reserve Supreme Champion Welsh, Grand Champion English Pleasure, and took 2nd in the Ridden Welsh Classic Championship, second to his son, Starbucks! Not bad for an old guy! We are so proud of him. Here are some of his past accomplishments: 1995 Amer. Nat'l Supreme Champion, 1997 American National Gr. Ch. Cob & Res. Supreme Ch. Welsh, 1997 Carousel Horseshow and Tulsa State Fair Grand Champion Cob & Supreme Champion Welsh, 1996 National Driving Champion. Reserve English Pleasure Champion, Carousel Charity Horse Show 1998 (in addition to winning Grand and Supreme Champion in hand). 1999 Conyers CDE winner and Res. Champion. Many other regional awards and championships with us. Megastar then was purchased by Mike Smith and Lynda Gillen-Smith. Lynda further trained him and showed him to the amazing 2002 WPCSA Yearend Championships in English Pleasure (Adult C/D), Pleasure Driving (C/D), Trail (Adult A/B/C/D), Hunt Seat Equitation (Adult), Res. Champion Cob Stallion in hand, and he won the Grazing Fields Farm Trophy and the Pony Cross Perpetual Trophy. Also with Lynda, he completed his performance Legion of Merit with the WPCSA, and won the Canterbury Dressage Series Yearend Top Scoring Stallion, Champion Training Level, Champion Master Rider Award, and Champion Pony. He was also Grand Champion Welsh Cob at the 2002 American National Show in Maryland. He and Lynda had an amazing year together! They won other awards too numerous to write here. He even qualified as a single pony for the CDE World Championship in England with driver, Wendy Ying, and made the trip back "across the pond" to compete. We repurchased him in 2005 and brought him home to Colorado. It never felt complete to us when he was gone. The pastures just seemed sad.

Minyffordd Megastar LOM x Geler Megan (Derwen Desert Express x Geler Sali)
Born in 2012, Owain may just be one of our favorites produced by Megastar and Megan. He is full brother to Orion, Summerbrook Odyssey, Megabucks, Omega, and Octavia. Owain is full of pony type, has the Megastar/Megan cross exceptional movement with height, reach, and suspension, and has presence to burn. He has transformed from light bay color to Megastar's deep, dappled, rich dark chocolate bay, so his markings are really fancy. He is by nature very loving, gentle, and level headed. We believe he has great potential for CDE/driven competition, hunter, or dressage. 14h We are currently retaining him and starting him under saddle, but will consider selling him to just the right home. Asking price is $12,000. We have a training video available for serious inquiries. He is looking great! All of the photos below are from his first two years. He is now three.
